The Gran Cir (2,592 m) in the Dolomites near Val Gardena is a fantastic choice for experienced hikers looking for a short yet rewarding tour. From the Uetzenhof in Natz-Schabs, you can reach the Grödner Joch (Gardena Pass) in about 1.5 hours by car, ideal for a day trip into the mountains.
The trail is steep and partly rocky. If you’re sure-footed and in good shape, you can reach the summit in a bit more than one hour. If you prefer a slower pace, the hike will take longer, but every step is worth it!
Once at the top, you’ll be rewarded with a breathtaking 360° view over the Dolomites. Especially beautiful at sunset, when the peaks glow in shades of orange and pink. Don’t forget a headlamp for the way down!
